As he writes: "The ultra modern and, to my mind, quite attractive East Croydon Station. It is quite a change from the last time I went there. However, down at train track level, which I how I traveled to Croydon that day, not so much has changed. (I swear the cheese sandwiches in the buffet with the curling edges are circa 1961.)"
